Why take our course? Attendance of Idaho Online Defensive Driving will bring you many benefits. Traffic
citations received in the past or those received recently will have points attached
to them. The conviction appears on the record as will the points. Upon successful
completion of our course, three (3) points will be removed from your driving record.
Notation of the citation will remain, but demerit points will not be attached to it.
Idaho drivers may participate in a defensive driving course such as Idaho Online Defensive
Driving once every three (3) years for point removal. The three (3) year time restriction
begins on the date of the last completed course. You may also complete our course
for insurance reductions as well. Check with your insurance company to see if a reduction
will apply after you complete our program. Your employer may also want you to complete
our program to refresh your driving habits and knowledge. At any time, you may take
our course as a volunteer.
How long does it take to get the certificate?
There are different ways of receiving the completion certificate. Because of security
reasons, it is impossible for you to print your own certificate, so the original certificate
must be sent directly from our office to you. When you enroll, you may choose for
regular mail or expedited service.
Does the course cost anything?
Unfortunately, there is a cost to attend Idaho Online Driver Improvement. The price
will cover all elements of the course including immediate access to the site and the
completion certificate. Regular in-class driver improvement courses charge similar
fees. driver improvement courses are a privately operated industry and whether you
sit in a class or choose this online program, you will need to pay for it.
How can I pay for the course?
You can pay for the course two different ways, either by credit card or by check/
money order. After you fill out the registration form, you can be linked to a completely
secure credit card page where you pay quickly and effortlessly. The site is encrypted
to make your on-line purchase safe. The other way to pay for the course is to mail
a check or money order. Make sure to send the check before you complete the course
or your certificate will not be mailed.
What if my deadline for completion of the driver improvement course has passed?
Contact your court or state directly for instructions regarding extension of your
due date (if you have one). Idaho Online Driver Improvement cannot extend your due
date.
How do I register for this course?
Registration for this course is quite simple. You can click
here and be taken to the online registration page. Just complete all the appropriate
fields and you can get started right away. You may also call us at 877-972-4665 during
normal business hours, 7:00AM-10:00PM Monday-Friday and 9:00AM-5:00PM Saturday and
Sunday to register on the phone. Either way, it just takes minutes and you are able
to start right away.
Can I use someone else's computer or Internet service?
That is what makes this course so easy and great! You can take this from home, work,
a friend or family's house, or your local library. Whatever computer you use, you simply need Internet access. You can also
start on your own computer and then finish on another. *This program also works with
WEBTV.
Must I complete this course in one sitting?
Idaho Online Driver Improvement is designed for the person who does not have a lot
of time. The course is broken up into numerous sections. You can complete one segment,
for example, log off, and then log back on at a later time, and the computer will
record the section you have completed. You can log on and off as many times as you
wish until you complete the program. You can also do the entire course in one sitting.....it
is up to you.
What if I have no e-mail address?
Do not worry if you have no e-mail address, as one is not needed to take this course.
Any correspondence can be directly printed off the program or be done via mail or
telephone. On the registration for just skip the email field as it is not mandatory.
You may also use a friend's e-mail address, if you wish.
I have already enrolled. How do I get back into the program?
If you have already enrolled, you have a username and password. You may re-enter those
codes on our home page where instructed as many times as necessary to access and complete
the program. If you have forgotten or lost your username or password, give us a call
at 877-972-4665.
I just got knocked off line in the middle of a section. What do I do now?
Many Internet users are knocked off line frequently. This may result from a lost Internet
connection, another call interrupting your connection if you are on a single line
with call waiting, or simply because your own computer crashes. Remember, as you complete
each section of the course, your progress is logged. Completion of chapter one, for
example, cannot be lost if your answers are submitted to the system and graded on
screen. Being knocked off line at that point, will only bring you back to the start
of the next chapter, it will not delete chapter one. Our website is unable to control
your Internet connection and inactivity on your part will not result in our system
knocking you off line. Any activity requirements will be on the part of your Internet
service provider.
Are there any special computer or download requirements to participate in the
course?
There are no videos to download in our program and no special requirements at all
of your computer. If you are on this screen and on our website, you can enroll and
complete the course without a problem.
What happens if I fail the final? Can I take it again?
You may take the final an unlimited number of times without having to pay a retake
fee. A new final will appear on screen immediately when you fail.
